    We know you may not be able to make it to our wonderful retreats in beautiful Hawaii, so we would like to help you begin your healing at home. At Aloha Healing Retreats we use a wide variety of Holistic Therapies to help you on your path to wellness and we are providing you with a few that require no special skills or training to use but yet are very effective. Wishing you much success with them and would love any feed back about using them. We make no guaranties in their use & you take full responsibility by using them.

    NEURAL LINGUAL PROGRAMMING

    Phobias, obsessive behaviors or unwanted behaviors such as addictions respond well with a technique known as Neural Lingual Programming which deprograms the brain from reacting to certain stimuli. Here's how it goes- imagine in your mind you worse case scenario of your fear or unwanted behavior in black and white, now play it from beginning to end, over and over and over and over and yet over again until you reach the point where the scenario is very boring or even ridiculous or funny, then play it over a couple more times just to be sure. Then play it backwards in color for five seconds, play it again backwards for four, three and down to where it's just a blip and you're done with it.

    ALTERNATE BREATHING

    Close off one nostril and breathe in through the other, now close off the other nostril and breathe out the unclosed nostril. Repeat this for fifteen or twenty rounds and you'll find yourself totally relaxed, in the present and balanced. Great for sinus problems!

    GROUNDING

    Imagine a beautiful white light entering the top of your head through your crown chakra and filling your entire body with unconditional love, light that is all healing and all powerful radiating throughout your entire being, pulsating with vibrant cleansing white light from the universe. When you are completely full of this light, open up your feet and extend the white light into mother earth, the aina, and let the light root to earth like the roots of a tree. When you feel totally secure in the connections to both the universe and the earth, bring the light back up to your solar plexus and create your own light source within yourself, your own star or sun and know that all you have to do to increase the power of your personal power source is to tap it and it will grow and increase in power 10 fold. Extend the light out of your head about a foot around your body like a cocoon, or shield, create a force shield of light that deflects all negative energy, and protect you from potential leaks of your personal power and light. Do this technique every day to shield you from negative energy, open up your own personal power station and connect you to the earth and spirit.

    FIVE THANK YOUS

    Now know this, for what ever your past is, it is that, the past, all you can change is the present, take control of this moment, choose to see it as an opportunity to improve, to enjoy, to live. We are all just human beings here on earth learning our lessons. Ask the universe what it is that it is trying to teach you by all this, when you know your lesson you are free from the ordeal, let it go and thank the universe for the lesson in growth. Every day find five things to thank the universe for, in any situation that arises and is difficult, think of five things that you are grateful for about the situation. This gives you positive options, puts your mind toward the positive side of any situation, and then you find yourself not looking at the negative anymore, you will automatically flow toward the positive side. This is great for depression, depression is a cycle of negative emotion, if you don't go there, and go toward the positive, you will find yourself much lighter, and thinking of how silly you were in the past for even going that way at all. You are a powerful being of creation, choose to create a life that brings you the happiness you deserve. Choose your illusions, in other words you can create your perception of your reality, choose the best version possible. Remember change is inevitable, struggle however is entirely optional.

     

    Chanting or Intonation

    Here is the OM of life. Start with om, say it, then let it resonate throughout your body, let the tone, the sound be a life force within you. Feel it's power. Make it small and let it grow and make it louder. Play with your OM. It can be soft and light as a feather or as deep as a well. You are the well. Your voice resonates to the universe and you cannot be denied. YOU ARE!!! Now ad some other sounds.. here is the Hindu version for the seven chakras.... O as in no, Oo as in you, ah as in alas, ay as in hay, mmmmnn and then iinnng. Or the Tibetan version is even easier... OM, ah, ma, ra, nee, zen, da, so. Chanting helps dispel negative energy and helps you find your own personal light within.
