Aloha, I am Rev. Ke'ala and I am a survivor of three divorces. OK, so we all start off with stars in our eyes and the belief that our love will last forever. But we change, they change, circumstances change and that is the way of the world. Sometimes we grow up together and sometimes we simply grow apart. For what ever accumulation of reasons for the divorce you now find yourself alone. It is no longer the two of you, it is just you and you are not the same person you were when you started out together. So what do you do now? You find yourself. You are there. But how do your regain what you have lost or perhaps never even had at the beginning of your marriage- your own identity. Who are you now? What do you what to do now with yourself? Do you even have a clue?
So this is where you fly off to Hawaii- and why not? What better place to start all over than beautiful Hawaii. We help you put the pieces back together again into a whole new you. We will help you find yourself identity, your self esteem, your career if necessary, but most important we help you find your spirit. We can help you find closure with your last partner and help construct a balanced, well being that you can finally look in the mirror and say "Hey, that neat chick in the glass is me!"
The healing starts here at our retreats with the recovery of self worth and esteem, with empowerment and the tools for living an independent and fruitful life. We use Hypnotherapy to help you find out what you need to survive and thrive and how to heal and how to heal inside out. Through guided visualizations you are empowered with self worth and dignity. Our workshops give you the day to day means of making your life work for you so you can enjoy living again.
Our Aromatherapy Massages will nurture you and replenish you. Our Reiki and Crystal therapies will restore your energies to their natural harmony. Acupuncture treatments will help release energy blockages and open up your physical healing process. Yoga will help you relax and improve physical movement. Water aerobics will get the ole heart pumping as you enjoy being in your body.
We are now a residential facility for women only so we can address the very special needs of women who need to recover and heal. We furnish lots of aloha and fun so you can know your spirit greatness.

Persons with Eating Disorders or Emotional Needs are advised that at least two weeks will be required.Retreats are going on continuously with no more than FIVE WOMEN at any one time. We are now a residential facility so we have tailored our programs for the well being of women.

Please remember we are out in the middle of the Pacific ocean so we are 3 hours behind west coast and 6 hours behind EST. Which means if you call from New York at 11 am, it is 5 am here, etc. Mahalo for your consideration. We take toll free calls from Canada now too! Please note that you will need to fly into HILO, HAWAII from HONOLULU. If you fly into Kona we will have to charge you $150 for pickup as it is a 3hr drive each way.

Our facility is located in a quiet vacation residential area, 10 miles from the small village of Pahoa. We usually have a morning therapy- hypnotherapy or aromatherapy massage, an early or late afternoon workshop and an evening activity or workshop. Everyone here pitches in to make this home run like it does in real life so your cooperation is expected. The rest of your time is free to go biking, walking, snorkeling- a block and a half away, tide-pooling or visiting the thermally heated warm pond a mile and a half away. Also please note that if you need to be constantly entertained and have never ending activities to occupy your time, or want to be treated like a diva, this is not the place for you. We do not have TV or radio, but do have videos for viewing at night. Because of our location most cell phones do not work from here. Phone cards are advised for your long distance calls. We also adhere to quiet times of 10 pm to 8 am and 2 pm to 4 pm.

We require a $750 deposit to hold your space, the rest of the balance is due upon arrival.
*If you cancel for any reason without a two week notice prior to your arrival your deposit is non returnable. We have to turn away people if you commit to a spot and this is a situation where it is not a spur of the moment impulse to come. We and other people have to plan schedules. Please call and talk to us to see if our program is a good fit for you, as there are no refunds once you arrive. We will do everything we can to help you heal, in return we require three things.. no drug or alcohol problems, the deep desire to want to heal and the genuine effort it takes on your part to help you make that happen. Without those, nothing will help you. With those we can help you make miracles happen.
Also we do NOT accept people with alcohol or drug issues. If you are a recovering alcoholic or addict you must have at least three months of sobriety to enter the program.
SCHOLARSHIPS FROM THE KALANA FOUNDATION
The Kalana Foundation helps provide partial funding to guests who can prove financial need. Please contact us for more information at kealanoel@yahoo.com. Scholarships are as follows-a $800 scholarship for two weeks for a balance due of $2800, a $1,250 scholarship for three weeks for a balance due of $3,550 and $1500 scholarship for the four weeks for a balance due of $4500. Deposits of $750 must be made to secure your space and half the balance is due two weeks before your arrival and the other half upon arrival. You must be able to provide financial proof that you need the scholarship, which is a gross income of $25,000 or less per year.
