   You can choose to be a partial or full angel. You can choose to be an anonymous angel or you can be a known angel - the person receiving the help will know who you are and they can choose to respond to you.  You can sponsor some one you know or sponsor someone on our waiting list.   Insurance does not cover holistic health care.  Lot's of women have exhausted themselves financially and cannot even afford the airfare here to Hawaii. There are so many woman who need your helping hand  in order to get the healing and guidance   they need to turn their lives around. Especially with the life threatening aspects of eating disorders.   We have done our share of pro bono work, but realistically we can not  keep our doors open without funding.  We are a not for profit organization and neither my husband nor myself draw a salary for the work that we do.   All proceeds from all our endeavors goes back into the Kalana Foundation which supplies partial scholarships for women attending our programs. Every gift given, small or large,  is a blessing and we and our ladies thank you from our hearts.

The cost of a eight week program is $12,000. They may seem like a lot but most programs run from $35,000 to $56,000 a month. We assist this cost by granting scholarships of up to $3,000 per eight week program.  So to sponsor a woman for eight weeks the cost is $9000 and for four weeks it is $4,500. It really depends on the individual case and how long the woman has been in her illness but an eight week program is the most reliable for working with eating issues.

Our grief and abuse programs also depend on the individual case but we suggest a two to four week program to effectively deal with the  process of healing.  The cost of  the three week program after our scholarship is applied is $3,700 , two weeks is $2,900 and a week is $1,700.

To help you help others we will give you a complimentary three day stay at our retreat for any woman of your choice for every $1500 you donate. If you donate $15,000 you will be able to give yourself or someone you love a healing one week stay for five years. Now doesn't that make it easier to be generous.

     We have been so lucky to have been able to purchase five acres of land three years ago before the land boon.  We are located in one of the  most energetically  healing places I have ever known in Hawaii. We are just a walk away from a marine sanctuary and fantastic snorkeling.  We are just a short bike ride away from a thermally heated warm pond where we do water aerobics and swimming with sea turtles at night in the protected Champagne cove in Kapoho Hawaii.  We are at the very right hand tip* of eastern Hawaii.

     The land has been hand cleared by the two us and a few volunteers. We have strived to keep the original integrity of the land by keeping native trees and lava formations intact.

We need funding to bring in county water, construct a solar system and to build the retreat. If you have something in the way of construction such as solar panels or computers or whatever things you think we might be able to use, those gifts will greatly appreciated also.                                                                                                                                                                        We are also hoping to buy some land in Arkansas to build a retreat center there. We love Arkansas but are open to other places centrally located in the US if you have land that you would like to donate to our cause.  A lot of people just cannot physically make it to Hawaii for treatment and so we would like to have a center where we could hold retreats during the spring and fall until we have a staff that is trained that could hold retreats all year long. We priced some land in Arkansas that would be ideal for a healing center and in Sept. it was only $20,000 for four acres.  So this is another goal you could help us reach.
